Pistol Fundamentals: Level 1

Class Description:

This course of training is 2 hours and for shooters who already have a Concealed Carry License or have some level of training or Handgun knowledge or experience. The class will cover fundamentals of marksmanship, including safety, sight picture, trigger control, & follow-through. The student will quickly gain experience, confidence and increase their skill level and effectiveness with the pistol.

[Does NOT qualify for a Florida Concealed Weapons License]

Focus: Shooting fundamentals, dry-practice, reloads, & malfunctions.

Topics include:

• Review of Firearm Safety
• Handgun Operation Fundamentals:
  • Stance, Grip, Sight Picture, Sight Alignment, Trigger Press, & Breathing
• Malfunctions
• Loading/Unloading
• Drawing from the Holster
• Live Fire on the Range
  

Class Requirements:

• Class is intended for advanced/intermediate shooters looking to hone their skills with a pistol.
• 100 rounds minimum of quality pistol rounds of ball ammunition. No steel core, steel cased or tracer rounds.
• 50-round boxes of Ammunition available for purchase in-store.

Individual equipment:

• Pistol with at least 3 pistol magazines.
  • If you use a Revolver, you must have at least 3 speed loaders.
• Eye & Ear Protection. (Rentals available upon request.)
• Closed toed shoes.
• Pen & Paper for notetaking.
• Proper Belt and Strongside Holster / Concealed Holster set up.

Certifications Earned: Does NOT qualify for a Florida Concealed Weapons License
